This space provides a set of tools on micro-insurance. Your contributions and comments are welcome !
- The library contains a selection of articles, reports, links, guides, studies, etc., on micro-insurance and the extension of social protection.
- The bilingual French-English glossary contains over 100 terms and their definitions.
- The expert database contains a large collection of professionals¿ CVs (technicians, trainers, etc.). You can contact directly the experts of our database. We also encourage you to add your CV!
- The management and monitoring software, well adapted to the Indian and West African contexts, are available for downloading free of charge. You can use them to manage memberships, premiums and benefits of health micro-insurance schemes and to monitor a certain number of indicators.
- The microinsurance scheme database contains information of schemes in Africa, Asia and Latin America. You can search for schemes according to certain criteria, add new schemes or update information already available online.
- The tool links contains a list of sites linked to microinsurance and social security. You can also find a short description of each site. For a reference to your site, please contact gimi@ilo.org.
Coming soon
- The database on the use of health services will contain information on medical consumption (facilitating premium calculation) and on performance indicators for health micro-insurance schemes. It will constitute a unique source of information in this field. For the time being it is under development. Do you want to be involved in the creation of this database ? contact-us!
- The benefits calculation software wil enable you to calculate premiums on medical consumption from your own data or from data found in the statistical database.
