Since 2007, GIMI organises a worldwide inventory of microinsurance schemes (in Africa, Asia and in the near future also in Latin America). This permanent inventory will make it possible to follow up the schemes and to capture their principal evolutions.

This inventory will be realized by the microinsurance schemes themselves or by the organizations managing the schemes. Each year they will be invited to register and/or update some information regarding their experience through an online questionnaire.

We would like to invite you to fill-in the online questionnaire (the questionnaires are organized per continent to describe better the specific situations). To add or modify data, you must first receive permission from the supervisors/managers of the schemes.

Using the African database of 2007 you can search online for microinsurance schemes by different criteria (for example: search all of the schemes based in India that target the informal sector).

After each inventory period you can consult online the results of a statistical analysis based on the complete database.
