» Study on the linkages between statutory social security schemes and community-based social protection mechanisms
This study carried out in 2006-2007 jointly by the ILO, the ISSA and the AIM is part of the activities of the International Alliance for the extension of social protection.
An article which compiles the findings of this study has been jointly drafted by the three institutions and was presented in September 2007 during the "Social Security Global Forum" organised by ISSA. This article entails a very firts typology of linkages between statutory social security schemes and community based social protection mechanisms.
The undertaken research has also produced case studies in 10 countries:
